Saved from the hands of a kidnapper
I recollect an incident that happened in my 3rd standard (3rd grade). I was standing outside my classroom after school, waiting for my dad or elder brother to pick me up. I was standing with a classmate of mine, who was waiting for her mom. A stranger approached us and said to my classmate, “Your mom is waiting outside the gate and has sent me to bring you to her.” He even added, “Your mom has a mole on her foot right?” She refused to go with him. Then this stranger started calling me. I decided to go with him, then for some reason I declined. I still do not know why I refused all of a sudden, but I do know it was a supernatural intervention of God. The next day this incident became big news in our school. My school tightened the security. Many believed that the stranger must have been a kidnapper, because many kidnapping incidents were reported during that period of time in our locality. That stranger could have taken me, pulled my eyes out and thrown me on the roads to beg, but God had other plans. Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
